Tucked away in southeast Tunisia, Dar Ayed Tamezret is within a few minutes’ walk of the Berber Museum and within a short walk of the pretty village of Tamezret. Labyrinth alleyways are ripe for exploration, adorned with ceramic pots blooming with colorful geraniums and walls draped in pink bougainvillea. The old watchtower offers incredible views and it’s possible to sample fine.
Outside the village, explore the unique troglodyte architecture and Star Wars filming locations of Matmata 11 kilometers away and hike the lunar landscapes to gain outstanding photo opportunities.
