We had a wonderfull week in Pavo Hotel. The rooms are clean and all the apliances are working. The stuff is very friendly and the location gives you the opportunity to get to the centre and a lot of tourist sites in 15 minutes of walking by foot.

A nice and modern looking aparthotel, situated 20min walk from city center, in residential area beside Venetian walls, there is a shopping center down the street where hotel has its reserved parking spots for your rented car, small shops all around, Lidl in the next street, lot of excellent taverns and eateries in 10min walking range.Hotel itself was clean and modern, with all the amenities you need, bed was super comfy, the receptionists were superb, with helpful advices about everything!Would definitely stay in Pavo again!

This is easily one of the best hotels in Heraklion, offering a very good balance between quality and price.The hotel building is newly constructed, adhering to modern standards. I was in my apartment during the 2021 earthquake and the subsequent aftershocks that occurred that night. Despite the quake's impact on older buildings in the city, the hotel remained unscathed.Here are some positives:The rooms are generously sized, providing ample space and furnishings.The furniture is both modern and comfortable.All the necessary appliances (fridge, microwave, TV, electric stove, etc.) are brand new and of high quality.The balcony overlooks a peaceful inner courtyard, ensuring a quiet atmosphere.There's a secure safe in the room for storing important belongings like documents and money.The hotel's proximity to the old port, reachable via a scenic pedestrian walkway along the shoreline, is a major plus. Besides, the pedestrian walkway is a great spot for capturing unforgettable photos.Nearby, you'll find plenty of shops, supermarkets, bakeries, patisseries, and pizzerias.The hotel's location makes it ideal for those exploring the island off the swimming season.The hotel staff, who I believe might also be the owners (though I didn't inquire), are incredibly friendly, discreet, and always ready to assist.Cons:The only drawback is that the hotel is surrounded by taller buildings, so the view from the balcony it's not particularly beautiful. However, considering all the other advantages, this minor inconvenience hardly matters. Plus, the balcony's orientation towards the inner courtyard guarantees a quiet night's sleep, allowing tourists to rest peacefully.

The Pavo Hotel is undoubtedly a gem in Heraklion, offering a unique and delightful stay!!!The warm and welcoming receptionists made me feel right at home. The artistic touch of the apartment, transformed it into a space that was both aesthetically pleasing and comfortable– it felt like staying in an art gallery. The bed was incredibly cozy and provided a restful night's sleep after a day of exploring. It's actually pretty close to the city center so I got to explore without spending half my day on a bus or walking.From the friendly faces at the front desk to the meticulous cleaning standards and that aesthetic, the Pavo Hotel went above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay.

Pavo is a luxurious experience with a reasonable price tag! The aesthetic of the room is spacious, modern and chic. We liked that the WC is separate from the shower. The apartment/hotel comes with excellent tasting espresso pods (nespresso machine) and delicious biscuits. Our receptionist was very knowledgeable about the city and traditional foods to try. She offered to book us at any restaurant we wanted which was helpful while we took time to settle into our room. We parked in a free lot down the block. The area is generally safe and an accessible walk to the city square. - Brian and Anita
