We arrived in the morning and a very friendly receptionist kept our suitcase. In the afternoon when we were going to check-in, we were attended to by a receptionist whose kindness was not her forte, maybe she was having a bad day, but in a 1-star or 5-star hotel, I think you have to treat customers well.We arrived with a wonderbox check that we had registered in the wonderbox application itself, in which the wonderbox check number appeared and according to her the physical check was needed. They had already asked for the check number for the reservation and we gave it again with the application. She told us straight away that she didn't want to accommodate us, instead of trying to solve the problem they/we have, since according to her she couldn't accept us without the barcode. The barcode that is basically the conversion of the check number of the wonderbox that we delivered with the app.Basically we didn't like the deal at all considering there was this problem and there was no time he tried to fix it.Considering that we had traveled for two hours, with a 2-year-old girl and a dog.It may have been a one-off problem but hence my score. I think you don't need to stay to be able to score. I have not rated the service, the room, or the location. The location is not bad, in fact I like it, but it's not in the middle of Cadaqués either. If only he had tried to find a solution to the problem, I think everything could have gone very differently.

Message to ownersWe have known the Villa Galla hotel as well as the Mas Lazuli since the latter opened, having come there several times. The location of the hotel remains perfect, the concept excellent and the staff really friendly and full of goodwill. But for the first time we note a real lack of resources to properly serve the customer. You have chosen to eliminate catering by transferring your chef to your other establishment Villa Salvador. This has the effect of simultaneously removing all the life and dynamism of the hotel. The hotel seems empty. Lots of little details show that the desire to pamper the customer has disappeared. The furniture could do with a little refreshing, rickety door handles, stained toilet bowl, minimal unprofessional restoration still in place. So please, ladies and gentlemen, owners, wake up! Whatever the business, when you no longer listen to your customers then you have to expect a backlash.SincerelySebastien Lescot

So we checked into this hotel which is decorated as an homage to Dali and his wife Gala. Our drive here from Barcelona was fraught with the twisty turns and trying to find the hotel once we reached the town of Cadaques with the roads the width of our car and Google maps not exactly being on target and trying with the help of the receptionist at the hotel trying to get us here with her friendly voice but difficulty in communicating in English. We ultimately found the hotel and lot adjacent without any major damage to our psyche. We hugged the receptionist and scuttled to our room and decompressed with a hotel provided bottle of wine waiting for us in the room from the hotel management. We had a wonderful tapas dinner at Batalla and the next morning had a wondrous trip to Dali’s house. All of this is leading me back to the afternoon the next day where after a gin and tonic was able to truly see the beautifully appointed boutique hotel in all its wonderful decorative Dali touches. Such a sublime experience I had to to relate this. The pool, the lobby and hallways are very elegantly presented with beautiful pieces of furniture and reproduced and original artwork. Well worth booking a stay here!

Hotel Villa Gala is the perfect boutique hotel to stay at in Cadaqués, complete with pool, views, and incredible hospitality from the staff. The hotel is thoughtfully decorated with Dali-inspired decor, and small enough to where you get to know the staff personally, who helped us out numerous times with making dinner reservations and activity recommendations.Anna and David at the front desk were incredible and made us feel right at home.

Explore the location

Cadaqués, a jewel nestled at the edge of the Iberian Peninsula, captivates visitors with its blend of natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. This enchanting fishing town, cradled within the Cap de Creus Natural Park, is a sanctuary where the Mediterranean's azure waters meet the untouched landscapes of Catalonia. Renowned for its pristine maritime zone and the largest uninhabited area along the Spanish Mediterranean coast, Cadaqués is a haven for those seeking the tranquility of nature and the thrill of water sports.

The town's architecture, a harmonious fusion of traditional Mediterranean styles, frames every street and shoreline, echoing the artistic legacy of Salvador Dalí, who found his muse in the rugged beauty of Port-Lligat. Cadaqués has also charmed other iconic artists like Picasso and Lorca, their spirits lingering in the wind-swept lanes and sun-drenched terraces.

Away from the crowded beaches, Cadaqués offers serene coves and crystal-clear waters, ideal for windsurfing and kayaking. For those drawn to the allure of the land, hiking trails and the nearby Peralada golf complex offer adventures. Cultural treasures abound, from Dalí's House-Museum to ancient ruins and monasteries, making Cadaqués a mosaic of history, art, and nature waiting to be explored.
