Right at the main walkway of the Albaicin! Beautiful property, excellent staff and service, and super convenient. Walking distance to the main plaza where you have exceptional and plentiful food options ranging from street flare to fine dining.We definitely enjoyed the peace and quiet of the area in the mornings and late at night. The sound proofing of the windows and walls were also quite helpful to encourage a restful sleep in the three nights (Andalusian public holiday) we stayed.There is also a notable coffee shop on the street level (not sure if they are affiliated) offering excellent coffee, pastries and breakfast options.The ensuite room we stayed in was on the top floor looking over the Daro river and main street and looking up to The Alhambra. Amenities included small toiletries, water, safe, more than enough power outlets, television (which we didn’t even bother using because the view and access to activities in the area were so convenient).We are the types who travel light, mostly backpacking. This helped a lot when accessing the Albaicin as it is maintained with charming cobblestone streets. While you can take a taxi from the airport or train station to the area, we enjoyed walking from the nearby taxi stand by Plaza Nueva to the Carrer d’Darro where the main door for the hotel is located.

The location is perfect if you're sightseeing and even if you aren't, it's just a nice place to be. We stayed in mid-December and our room was very comfortably warm, even though it opened onto a balcony over an authentic (for Granada) Moorish open courtyard. The room was impeccably finished, spotlessly clean and with very comfortable beds. The welcome was super-friendly and we were able to leave our bags for a few hours after checking out whilst we went shopping.

Perfect location for us: in the old city beside durro river. Great walk up to Alhambra. Excellent room and service. Photo shows night view from our window looking up at Alhambra fortress.

A very nice hotel. It's clean, comfortable, and has a pleasing décor that creates associations with the era when houses in the area were built. Location is very central in Granada's charming old quarters with narrow cobblestone alleys, and from our room we could see the Alhambra on the mountain side. No nearby parking is however available. Rooms are somewhat inefficiently soundproof, and some noise from the street can penetrate. The front desk staff was extremely nice and helpful in all respects. We are very happy with our stay at the Shine Albayzín!
