Very clean and well-maintained. Nothing was missing. We were there in the off-season, so there was no breakfast buffet. We received a very comprehensive list of everything available. Nothing was lacking. The traffic noise didn't bother us. The owners are helpful if you ask them. No parking problems. Parking is possible right in front of the hotel. The only downside was that we didn't have to leave for the airport until 2 pm. The pool area is nicely done but not very inviting. We ended up spending our time at the NV Beach Club. Please don't be put off by the negative reviews. It's well worth staying here in a very good little boutique hotel.
Lovely little, unique, hotel and restaurant. Unfortunately only stayed for one night, and wish it could have been longer. In a village with bakery and beach bars ( which not yet open as too early in season), but a pleasant 15 minute walk to small town with many bars / restaurants and a marina. We would have liked to try the Hotel’s own, rooftop restaurant, which has an amazing menu but didn’t have a chance. Maybe we will be back!
My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights at the end of August. As soon as we arrived at the reception, the owner was there, whose second conversation was to inform us about the accommodation tax, which had to be paid immediately and of course only in cash and not by card so that the hotel would not be burdened with the POS tax. Of course, it was something that we did not like. In addition, our room was on the 2nd floor and as there was no elevator we carried our luggage up ourselves, while no one offered to help us. On the positive side of our stay was the room which was very modern and nicely decorated, of course the bathroom could use renovation, but overall the room was very good. The breakfast was delicious and fresh, but in quite limited quantities and the location of the hotel while it was just a few kilometers from the center, entering and exiting the car was difficult as it was located on a main two-way traffic road. In summary, for all that we mentioned above, we would not easily choose to stay at the same accommodation on our next visit to the island.UpdateIn response to your previous comments regarding your review, for the money of the room, your breakfast is not sufficiently renewed and a stress is transferred to the customer about whether he will have to ask for more than the amount he sees has been consumed. As for the accommodation tax, when someone chooses an accommodation like yours, they will clearly pay it, but it should not be your first concern and attacks like "it cannot be paid by card because we pay tax to the state, so we want it in cash" and when we told you that we did not have cash, you told us to find a bank to withdraw money... Finally, we were never offered any help in carrying our luggage to the room. Always friendly, just like your previous answer!
I had the misfortune to stay at this hotel in 2024 . The review I left was responded to a week ago (a year and a half late ) which has prompted me to leave this new review . I am baffled by good reviews from recent guests . I will copy and paste my original review below - the management reply is available to view on tripadvisor and seems to suggest the my comments were based on my assumptions. What were not my assumptions are the following -The hotel is situated on a very very busy road and road noise is horrendous. There is no swimming pool only what could be described as a plunge pool at best - you also have to book it. Plus it is only separated from the road by a wall which is partially glass.. Road noise again .There are no reclining sunbeds .The outside tables shown in the image are again only separated by a single wall partially glazed and incredibly noisy especially when wagon pass. The buses are unreliable and walking to the resorts is dangerous in places .I also found the management to be unfriendly, especially when they realised I had lodged a complaint to the tour operator. She was actually waiting for me when I got back in the evening . I told her I was tired and would speak in the morning as I did not want a confrontation. I am leaving this new review so anyone considering a stay here can make an informed choice . The noisy ( and dusty ) road really was an issue and was a factor in our disturbed sleep .Here is my original review from 2024 -Hotel advise they are only responsible for info on their own website despite - I assume - customers using tour operators and booking sites info for an informed choice when choosing their holiday .So … Based on info on the drop down menu of Thomais website - vs - this is what we actually foundHOTEL - Reception , lobby , cafe-bar , breakfast area …. They are ALL in one open plan room.GARDEN - I ‘think’ they refer to seating at front of hotel next to horrendously busy/ noisy road as that’s all we found - images 4,6,7 in galleryAQUA GYM - very small pool, one bike , one treadmill ( evidence of what looked like rust ) . Next to busy main road . No sunbeds - plus you have to book a slot .image 11SPA- ? No idea where this was unless they mean pool may have jets ?BEACH BAR - accross the busy road about 200 to 300m was a mobile van like a burger van at a fair serving drinks , cheap looking sunbeds ( no cushions) at an additional costSMALL SHOP - was shelves with oilSMALL LIBRARY - was shelf with 2nd hand booksNo welcome drink was offeredBUSINESS CENTRE - loan of a lap top and use of printer behind reception desk. No separate area .BREAKFAST- this was adequateROOM - we had a lifestyle room - Hers Paradise - no idea what cosmetic amenities were , no bathrobes , balcony does have a view of mountains to the right but overlooks scorched grass area and is directly overlooked by dwelling to left . Terribly noisy from traffic so couldn’t leave door open .No Nespresso machine , no coffee in room . It also has a mirror above the bed ???Bathroom ( shower only ) very small with shower taps at ‘hip’ height so I kept knocking myself . (I’m 5’1)VIVARIUM WINE RESTAURANT- it states it’s next to the lobby ? No idea where they mean ( we ate out every night ) unless they mean the ‘garden ‘ area - if so , I feel road noise would spoil any dining experience - see images 4,5, 6 & 7.Or they mean it’s the same tables as breakfast and snack bar and bar - with an outlook on to the wall by the busy road - the same room as people sitting on sofa / reading or watching tv - images 3,6,7, 11 of INDOOR galleryImage 9 on OUTDOOR gallery on website that looks like a restaurant we did not find , no idea where it was .Personally we also found the location a problem without a car . Buses are unreliable , roads are dangerous to walk on and taxis are expensive . I do not recommend this hotel for a summer holiday stayRead less
My business trip during the heart of winter was made exceptionally pleasant thanks to my stay at Thomais Boutique hotel. The comfort and style of the accommodation were beyond expectations, and the cleanliness truly stood out. The recent renovations added a modern touch that enhanced the overall experience. The homemade breakfast offered a delightful variety, providing a warm and comforting start to my days. Additionally, the restaurant was a pleasant surprise, offering delicious options for a convenient dining experience.
We stayed for a week in August with two other families. The hotel is beautiful very clean and contrary to other reviews the breakfast was amazing. They had a wonderful variety and the service was absolutely excellent. The owners really care about their guests and they want to make sure you have a wonderful experience. In regards to noise it is next to a major road but we had a stunning view of the ocean and had no issues. Our friends stayed in the corner unit and said it was a bit noisy so might depend on the unit.If your looking for a hotel that is central it’s a perfect location. If your looking to stay at a hotel and just go the beach maybe find a hotel that is a bit closer. But overall it was excellent!!!
Got a taste of a negative atmosphere for this place when we briefly parked outside the hotel. A lady from the hotel (probably the owner) came by and very rudly insisted that she owns the public parking space outside the hotel even though this is by no means her private property. Very rude behavior, not recommended
The room was stylish and modern, but the bathroom was way too small. The pool was also too small and just for exercise, not for swimming. The breakfast was very poor, just the basics. Also, they charged 1€ for 0.5l water, which is against the law. Overall, not what we expected from a 4-star hotel with this price.
Very pleasantGreat staff, clean and comfortable. Very good choice and not bad price either. The breakfast is great as well. The beach bar is very close (walking distance). Quiet place close to both Lefkada and Nidri for the unmissable day cruises.
