Vespera Hotel’s website described a rooftop garden and featured photos of spacious suites under the Double Room with Seaview. When we arrived 45 minutes before check-in, we were told we’d have to wait and that a roof top garden didn’t exist! We were then also disappointed to find that we had been booked into a room under the cheaper Double Room featured on the website. They have since updated their website after my complaint. However, the pancakes, french toast and drinks still featured on the website have not yet been removed - they don’t exist at this hotel! The room itself was dating. The bathroom floor was dirty. The windows were dirty. The air conditioner remote stopped working. The balcony is pointless as there is no room to sit on them. Heraklion itself doesn’t have much to offer tourists. I suggest staying elsewhere.

For €70 per night per person, I would have expected much more. The room was very small (the minimum for two people), sold with a sea view, but the window overlooking the sea is dirty and cannot be opened (it's locked), while the other window opens onto a balcony overlooking the wall. The furnishings are pretentious and almost excessive, given the minimal size of the rooms. Breakfast is well-presented, but when you savour the taste, it's not as satisfying as the sight. Furthermore, to get a hot drink, you need the help of the waitress, but even though breakfast starts at 8:00, she's still tidying up at 8:30 and seems annoyed by your presence. The area surrounding the hotel features several buildings in a state of abandonment and disrepair.

The "Deluxe Double with Sea View" room was not at all what was stipulated on Booking.com. I expected to have a balcony with a sea view (as shown in the Booking.com photos), but it actually had a full view of the facade of another building that you could barely touch with your hands.Otherwise, the location and welcome were good.

Hotel lists ‘luggage storage’ as an amenity- they do not have secure luggage storage at this property, simply a sign hung in the unstaffed reception- DO NOT BOOK if you require to leave your luggage
Excellent service and location. Breakfast was great. I want to give my special thanks to Norma who is a great receptionist. Thanks to her assistance our stay in Crete was truly fantastic. Many thanks dear Norma

A hotel I highly recommend in Heraklion. An ideal location just steps from the center. Sea view. Only 8 rooms, which adds to the charm of the establishment: the rooms are spacious with a large bathroom, and let's not forget the excellent breakfast. Truly a great place.

Great location. Very nice people. If, however, you want a nice view you may need to work directly to get a room above 1st FLOOR. Our water view on 1st floor was not the best.

Had an unpleasant stay at this hotel. When I took shower, the water came out on the corridor and the hotel is located in a noisy area. Couldn’t rest…Watch out if you make the towels dirty, they make you pay for it. They also didn’t change them.I definitely don’t recommend their facilities.

I booked for 4 nights for me and my family members and I had a very bad experience.4 nights without change a single towel and not clean anything. After all when checked out they ask me 30€(?) For making a stamp with a coffee at the sheet, imagine they dont treat us even a water. Because I was tired I gave them the money and they didn't even give me the invoice. Very loud road near the hotel, I couldn't sleep easy. And the breakfast was very poor.I DONT recommend that hotel sorry.

Everything was great ! We are a family of 3 with a 6yo and a dog. The service was amazing . The hotel is new. The rooms were stunning with all the amenities needed. Walking distance to the city center and with a very good 24h parking a few steps away from the hotel. The sea view and colors was breathtaking. The breakfast that was served was made in the moment which is actually not common to enjoy your omelette as soon as it's made. We loved it and we will definitely be back. The staff was very kind and helpful.

A very charming hotel with love to the detail. Amazingly big room with a very cozy atmosphere. Everything was brand new. Magnificent view to the sea with nice sunsets! Although the room overlooked a main road with heavy traffic we slept like babies as the room was soundproof and the mattress was super comfortable. Very convenient location, everything was in walking distance. The owner was very friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations. All in all it was a very good experience, breakfast could get better though. We would definitely rebook the hotel without hesitation!

Great location, clean and very nice and helpful hosts! We were warmly welcomed and the parking space was taken care of immediately. The room is designed with great attention to detail and we had a great view of the sea. What is most important to us: 100% cleanlinessThe center is just a stone's throw away. The hustle and bustle can be reached quickly but you are still spared it in this hotel. Really great location! I can absolutely recommend this hotel!!
