Embark on the Chania port life with the luxury of Ambassadors Residence Hotel

Built inside a neoclassical building from the 1890s, Ambassadors Residence is where classical history merges with modern luxury. Right in front of Chania’s 700-year-old port, the boutique hotel pays homage to R. Kruger, a German Ambassador who played an essential role in the city’s history. His influence on the import and export of various materials, like glass, paper, ceramics, wood, and metal, inspired the thematics of the hotel.

Inside the Ambassadors Residence Boutique Hotel, you will immerse in organic and relaxing colour patterns, with modern furnishing and old recycled materials incorporated in the design of the place. Savour a private romantic dinner in the port’s harbour or inside a private yacht. Unwind with an in-room massage or melt your troubles away with a Turkish Hamman bath only five minutes away. Indulge in the national cuisine of Crete and its local wines.

This boutique hotel is where you’ll find the ideal mix of culture and leisure. Catch a unique view of the Cretian sea and the city of Chania, and observe the history of the buildings being told on its walls and architecture. A spiral staircase that breaks through stone walls leads you to the 13 uniquely designed rooms, each with its particular charm and enchantment.

The rooms of Ambassadors Residence Boutique Hotel, named after the materials traded by R. Kruger, are designed according to their appellation. Find brick walls in the Stone Room or intricate and delicate decor in the Porcelain Suite. All with a unique personality and distinguished features, the accommodations in this hotel are like history being told over again.

Staff is great and very helpful. I gave the hotel a 4 for a couple of reasons. There are no additional amenities- no food, bar, pool, or rooftop terrace. Be careful which room you book. Some rooms are a nice size with a Seaview. Others are small or dark. When you turn on the bathroom light at night the entire room lights up. Also, you have to walk with suitcases to the city gate across cobble stones.

Located in the old town harbour, you can not be closer to the harbour, without your own ship.Located directly overlooking the water. The suites with terrace has sunbeds, the suites further down has balconies with room for two chairs overlooking the harbour action.Great doors n windows shut out the noice from the restaurants below when you want down time.5-6 meters to the ceiling creates an awesome romantic and modern feel.Lots of stairs, limited car access, and parking in the streets around, so be prepared for lots of walking, visiting Chania old town, and ambassador.Breakfast is served in the restaurant facing the street, super friendly staff serving great coffee. Recommend their Crete omelette to start the day.

Into the Old Harbour area, by the sea side, an ideal place to spend one's holidays. Easy access to restaurants, bars and cafes within walking distance. The rooms are spacious, clean and are showered by the sun-light. Top class!!!

Amazing experience here at the Ambassadors. I needed a bit or R&R to recalibrate after a hectic few weeks. The staff was exceptional, with Christina making me feel welcomed and valued. It was a stress free stay with a immaculate room and view. I was offered a free upgrade on the room with out asking and granted a late checkout to 2pm! My stay here was just what I needed and I will surely be coming back on my next excursion. Thanks Christina =)

Great location, but that’s about it. Was so disappointed as supposedly a five star! But far from it, rooms were damp (albeit it is an old building), the facilities were lacking (no iron in the room and when we requested one we had to get it from the guest next door ourselves!!). The air con is basically non existent which was really frustrating. We complained but the reception checked and then said it can take an hour to get cold as the ceilings are high. Ummmm right- boiling.

The space is unique and refreshing. The location is absolutely ideal with so many restaurants to choose from. It is very safe and secure and you can only enter the building by being buzzed in. Don't worry, you will never wait more than 5 seconds to be let in since they have 24 hour staff. Don't hesitate to book here and enjoy a very fun experience with beautiful and clean rooms.

Lovely hotel. Breathtaking views, worth the expensive rates. Rooms are done very very tastefully with 20 ft ceilings. You feel like you are staying in a historical place but with all the modern trappings. Highly recommend.

I arrived in late due to delay; had a very easy checkin, and received a free upgrade. The hotel is beautiful; the breakfast at the cafe downstairs is nice - youghurt, fresh fruit, good coffee and fresh juice, and nice warm bread, spreads and butter. The view from my room was fantastic and you can't ask for a better location. On checkout I also met the owner Moses, who has an interesting life story and is very friendly/great to speak to.I will stay here any time I am in town.

Excellent location with some noise from nightlife in the area. Beautiful room, but steps into and around the hotel make difficult for accessibility. The complimentary breakfast at nearby Pallas restaurant was one of our highlight meals in Greece.
