We stayed eight days at Domia Boutique Hotel with my whole family (nine of us in total) to introduce our grandchildren to my wife’s birthplace of Palermo and to celebrate my 80th birthday. We will never forget the unbelievable care and attention provided by the staff towards my family, and especially our grandchildren. This will be hard to replicate any place else. The ultimate test was the organization and execution to perfection of a gala dinner for 22 guests to celebrate my 80th birthday. In addition to the professionalism of the staff (Jason and Valentina) the chefs (Floriana and all) created an outstanding dinner menu, highlighted by a creative rendition of pasta con sarde and a delicious birthday cake, as well. Well done Floriana and everyone in the kitchen. . The regular dinners at Domia Ristorante provided us with creative choices above and beyond what’s available with most other restaurants in the area. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the outstanding breakfasts with a variety of pastries and savory choices and eggs.Special thanks ( in no particular order) to Gabriella, Glenda, Valentina, Jason, Giuseppe, Costanza, Catriana, Jessie, Francesco, Olga and last, but not least, AngelaCheersLou & Marcella Pellicano

Domia is an excellent boutique hotel in Mondello.My wife and I were there for several days with our 3 children and 4 other family members.The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the beach. The beach at Mondello is not a rocky Italian beach, but a perfect sandy beach with amazing clear water. There are traditional beach clubs you can get a day pass to, and across the road are several restaurants featuring fresh seafood and delicious pasta.The staff at Domia was truly special. We were celebrating a milestone birthday, and my mother in law’s return to her birthplace. The owners and staff helped us put together a 25 person dinner with a curated menu, flowers, the works. It was a night to remember, and their help was a big part of that.On the regular days, the staff just as helpful and friendly. Everyone was a pleasant person that you’d generally want to be around.The ~9 rooms are huge and functional. I believe there are 3 are on the ground level and 6 are upstairs, and I think all have outdoor space. I recommend room 5, which is a suite with a large terrace and hot tub. The extra sideroom was perfect for my 5 year old.The restaurant in the hotel was very very good. Several dishes were of a quality you’d expect of a restaurant on the Michelin watchlist. At the same time, there were more approachable options and my kids were able to get all the pasta pomodoro they wanted.The outdoor grounds are beautiful. As is in the case inside, all of the furnishings look new. The pool area feels more like an adults-only resort situation, with constant drinks service. My kids also had a great time and while I told the staff to let me know if I should quiet them down, they always assured me everything was fine.If you want to leave the hotel, Mondello is an ideal location to launch excursions, as Palermo is southeast, historical sites are west and south, and obviously the beach is right there.This hotel was perfect. I can’t think of any way it could be better.

I stayed at this property and the experience was truly excellent in every way. The rooms are well-maintained, clean, and welcoming, ideal for relaxing in total comfort.Special praise goes to all the staff, always kind, helpful, and highly professional. From the first moment, we felt welcomed with warmth and attention, receiving impeccable service throughout our stay.The food also deserves special mention: the dishes are prepared with quality ingredients, carefully presented, and characterized by authentic and refined flavors. Every meal was a pleasant surprise, living up to our highest expectations.I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a quality stay, accompanied by excellent service and a high-quality cuisine. I will definitely return.

This is the second time that we’ve stayed at Domia and it did not disappoint. As always, everything was excellent. From the moment we walked in to check in to the time we left, everything was perfect. I can’t say enough about the staff and the service. They took care of anything that we needed. I highly recommend Domia and hopefully will get a chance to visit there again in the future.

We stayed at the Domia Boutique Hotel for 3 nights in May 2025. The service was outstanding. The staff was welcoming, friendly, attentive and everyone spoke excellent English. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location was 10 minutes from the beach, however, it was quiet and peaceful at the hotel. A taxi is needed to go to Palermo, however the hotel staff will gladly coordinate it for you.

Absolutely fantastic hotel! We had a short but wonderful stay here with our family (2 children). The entire hotel, including the rooms, is beautifully designed. Elegant and chic, but without being ostentatious. Very stylish. The staff is extremely friendly and the breakfast is delicious. Great place!

A night (only...) spent outside of time in this magnificent boutique hotel, perfectly decorated, every detail is beautiful... it's rare to come across a place like this, with absolutely extraordinary staff, adorable with our little girl.We absolutely loved this place, and the restaurant is delicious! I recently stayed at Domia with my husband and infant to close out our vacation. This was one of the best hotel experiences we have had. The owner and staff were so welcoming and thought through little details that could make our stay more comfortable, including to go above and beyond for my daughter by making play space for her and interacting with her throughout the day. We all also enjoyed the restaurant so much - the best meals of our time in Palermo and Mondello. Thank you so much for a fabulous time!

Truly a hidden gem—worthy of being listed on a specialist site such as Mr & Mrs Smith not just for the comfort and level of service but the food as well. The breakfast which is included is worthy of a five star hotel but the restaurant where you can also book for lunch and dinner is also highly recommended. Honestly ate at many local restaurants but this was the over and above the best in the area of Mondello and arguably Palermo and so fairly priced for the quality. Focus on season and fresh local ingredients. Pool and the garden area where I spent many hours when I didn’t fancy the beach—10 min walk away was an added bonus. There are only 9 rooms so it felt like so it always felt intimate and exclusive. Just the most relaxing place to stay surrounded by lovely people and endless sunshine. Can’t recommend Domìa enough.

Fantastic experience for us. Stayed 5 nights to really relax and we were positively surprised at every turn. So good to come back to the pool when the beach got too busy. Had a room with private jacuzzi which was excellent. Very close to the beach with a hidden shortcut. Service, food, room, cleaning, everything was top notch.We will definitely come back.

Absolutely fantastic boutique hotel in a great location close to the beach and local restaurants. Easy access to Palermo as well. The rooms are modern and clean as is the rest of the hotel. Great restaurant (& complimentary breakfast), with friendly and knowledgeable staff. They treat you as friends and have high standards for service. This was our first stay on our 2 week honeymoon and we were devastated to leave the staff and gorgeous hotel. My wife continues to say that she misses our friends at the Domìa and is already planning a return trip for her birthday. Thank you!!

Beautiful hotel and really attentive, caring and enthusiastic staff. I’ve never felt more cared for in a hotel before. The food in the restaurant is incredible and they carter for food allergies as everything is made in house. I am vegan and they explained everything to me how it was cooked and what they are going to substitute. I loved also how all the food is Sicilian inspired and they provide a story behind each dish. Really impressed and one of my favourite hotels I’ve ever been to… will definitely stay here again. Thank you Domìa for a fabulous stay!
