Fantastic hotel and a highlight of our stay! The only downside was our room was right above a busy restaurant & bar where there was loud singing and chatting until 11 each night we were there. However, the hotel was so fabulous I still have to give 5 stars.Breakfast was excellent, the best of all the hotels on our stay, and I looked forward to sitting on the terrace each morning to eat it. Coffee was excellent too, made fresh by the team. If you are a runner or jogger I’d recommend getting up early to jog around the island of Ortigia and enjoy your breakfast afterwards :)Room was quirky, air conditioning was strong and shower was always hot with good pressure. Loved all the different artworks in the house as well as in our room.The reception staff were the best and friendliest we encountered on our stay. Really helpful and gave good recommendations for places to eat and things to do.Location was excellent, outside the busiest area of town so very peaceful during the day.We used the valet service - €35 per day and need 1hr notice for the car which means a bit of forward planning, but there is so much to enjoy in Ortigia we barely reached for the car.Highly recommend Henry’s House to all!

Best Hotel during our Sicily trip!Helpful and friendly receptionists,Very comfortable and relatively quiet ( great thick shutters blocked light and noise) room with fun art. Outstanding view. Excellent pillows.Ideally located for walking every in Ortigia. Close to excellent restaurants.

We had a wonderful stay at the Charme Hotel Henry’s House in Ortigia and can definitely recommend it for a trip to Syracuse.What we particularly liked:Warm welcome: The team is incredibly friendly. You immediately feel welcome and well taken care of; they are truly lovely people!Fantastic location: The hotel is perfectly situated for exploring the magical atmosphere of Ortigia. You're right in the heart of things, yet the hotel has its own unique charm.Excellent breakfast: Breakfast was a real highlight, with a great selection, fresh and high-quality. A fantastic start to the day!One minor point of criticism:We used the valet parking service for €35. This price is rather steep, even by Ortigia standards. It was particularly disappointing that we had to carry our own luggage despite the high price. For such a fee, we would have expected a bit more assistance.

November 2025: Charme Hotel Henry is a true gem, nestled into perhaps Sicily's best site for travelers: Ortigia (island subdivision of Syracuse). Each room is custom-designed with high ceilings, excellent views, and updated bathrooms. The bay-side views from rooms or from the many commons areas are spectacular. From this hotel by foot you can experience all of Ortigia -- architecture, street cafes, shopping, historical sites, music! I highly recommend this hotel for Ortigia! James

This is a nice small hotel where the staff takes excellent care of you. Once upon a time, it was a large home that had been abandoned for fifty years. Then the current owners took ten years to restore it, furnished with all kinds of interesting antiquities. The rooms have everything you need, are clean and comfortable. There are many many sitting areas inside and out. We were 4 women traveling together, so we had lots of space to sit and visit. The location, right on the water and steps from the seaside promenade, was perfect. The breakfasts on the patio had so many different offerings each day, each one better than then next. My only complaint is that I stuffed myself and still wasn't able to taste half of them. I was going to ding them a star because my shower head had insufficient water pressure. But my friend mentioned it to Francisco, and he was upstairs within ten minutes with a new, perfectly operational shower head. Thank you for making our trip to Ortigia so enjoyable.

We had a wonderful time at Henry’s Hotel. The location is ideal - tucked away and quiet, yet just a short walk to the centre of Ortigia. Our room was spacious, spotless, and full of thoughtful details.The rooftop terrace was one of our favourite parts - perfect for an aperitivo with a sea breeze before heading out to dinner. Breakfast was fresh and well presented, with lovely local options.The staff were truly amazing - warm, helpful, and made us feel completely at ease throughout our stay.Highly recommend for anyone visiting Ortigia. We’ll definitely be back next year!

Full of charm hotel with a dozen original, clean and comfortable rooms, in this old family house, fully refurbished. Terrasse overlooking the sea, facing West. Staff extremely extremely friendly, happy to serve yet discreet. A fantastic stay, highly recommended.

We recently sated in this lovely hotel with friends and occupied two spacious rooms overlooking the waterfront. From the outset we were made very welcome by all the staff who were genuinely friendly and attentive, their helpful attitude was a real pleasure.The rooms were very well equipped and clean. Breakfast each day was both plentiful and varied with many traditional treats to sample.Overall we couldn't fault this hotel and wonderful staff. We would definately recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this area of the Island.

Amazing place located on the side of the Etna.Located in the middle of the forest, you will enjoy a relaxing stay surrounded by the nature.Fully equipped rooms with smart TV, wifi.Breakfast was great, dinner too. Make sure to visit their cave and eat Sicilian culinary specialities while drinking a nice wine or beer.Thanks to the staff who were all very kind during our stay.

The staff at Henry’s Hotel are lovely and extremely helpful. The breakfast is excellent and the location is great for the best bits of Ortigia. The terrace has a nice view of the sea and the complimentary drink on our first night and complimentary soft drinks in the room are a really nice touch.However, we didn’t feel it was the best value for money, particularly if you’re thinking of paying a bit more for a room with a sea view. The sea view room is more expensive and if you’re on the ground floor the noise can be overwhelming. Henry’s should really lower the price of the ground floor sea view rooms or offer a disclaimer as the noise from the bars, people, and party boats means you won’t get any sleep. If you are planning to book a sea view room, I suggest you request one on the second or third floor where noise is less of an issue.
