Absolutely charming and very well run boutique hotel. The location is very handy. They do boutique very well in terms of high standards and attention to detail, but the aspect that stitches it all together is the service - attentive, but never intrusive. Would recommend without hesitation.

Hotel Madinat was an excellent choice for us as a place to stay during our visit to Córdoba. It is a small boutique hotel located within a typical Andalucian home which has been converted and modernized into a very charming locale. It is located in a very convenient spot to be able to access all the tourist sites, for example just a 5 minute walk to the Mezquita down ancient cobblestone streets. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom had all the amenities, and the room was spacious. If I ever return to Córdoba, I'll definitely want to stay there again.

WoW WoW WoW! Stop, don't look any further.......What a amazing boutique hotel this is; just outside of the centre but all the highlights are on walking distance. The interior of the hotel is amazing, the rooms even more so (the smell is delicious when you enter), large with old & new details and a great rain shower. The bed is really comfortable and we even had a small living room.On top of that (or the building) a rooftop with a great view on the city and Mezquita. And then breakfast, what a treat; everything you wish for is there. Don't forget to try the Córdoba breakfast: toast with tomato pulp, small ham slices and some olive oil. And the cakes are also delicious! Compliments to the girls in the kitchen (who also clean the rooms); two thumbs up!But what makes the Madinat a 5* plus hotel is the great service of Paloma and Youssef; they really make you feel welcome (it starts with a refreshing glass of home-made lemonade and some sweets upon arrival), are willing to help you with everything and explain you where to see/eat whatever you like. Thanks you Paloma and Youssef; we would have love to stay longer.

I have to say, this is one of the best boutique hotels I’ve been. We stayed for 5 nights. The vibe and ambiance is very romantic. It’s very clean and nicely decorated. The service is also fantastic. All three receptionist spoke very good English and recommended great restaurant and activities to make sure we didn’t miss anything. We had laundry done here, not the usual per piece price (€35/bag-shopping bag size). Laundry was fresh and clean delivered within 24 hours or less. The included breakfast was also wonderful. They make the eggs to order according to your liking. There were a lot of pastry and cakes to choose from, fresh homemade yogurt and shakes, lots of varieties of bread and torta. The fruits were very fresh. There’s coffee, tea and 3 kinds of fresh squeezed juices and many more. The location is very central and walkable to all attractions. We left our car in the La Ribera public parking which was 5 minute walk and is in a wide street so you don’t have to worry about getting stuck in narrow streets. Wonderful stay, highly recommended. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.

Be careful booking directly on hotel's website. They tell you that you will receive an upgrade (if one is available). Although several may be available they request an additional fee....don't let the obsequious, ingratiating, host push you into a noisy first floor facing courtyard. Received an upgrade.....spectacular looking (appears staged by a top theater set designer) but incredibly impractical: tiny toilet behind mirror, miniscule sink on other side of the room, no place to put more than several articles of clothes, etc., etc.. Know what you are getting into and it can be OK.
