The hotel is charming, the rooms spacious and well-decorated, and the staff are amazing. We ordered room service on our last night as we were exhausted. They ensured that they made everything vegetarian for us which isn’t easy in Madrid. The daily breakfast was delicious, and included specialty coffee and custom egg orders as well as a lovely buffet. I highly recommend this hotel!
We love this hotel, location, staff, and food. It was one of our best experiences in hospitality. The rooms are beautiful as well as the dining areas. The interior sitting areas are also beautifully kept up. The front desk contacted a doctor for me who came to the hotel as I had left a prescription at home. I cannot thank the management enough for this welcomed service. I had a prescription filled within an hour and a half.

In a world: flawless. This was my second visit to Madrid. I stumbled upon the Hotel Orfila the previous trip while walking around the neighborhood, stepped inside, and knew this would be where I stayed the next time. A year later, here I am.From the moment you arrive up to check out, the staff go out of their way to look after you. Nothing is too much to ask. If they notice you sitting in the lobby, someone will come over to offer a coffee or drink. The property is elegantly appointed from head to toe, exuding old-world charm all the while feeling fresh—not stuffy or kitschy in the slightest. The beds was probably the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on in any European hotel, with a generously sized bathroom, well-functioning air conditioning, and importantly, very quiet. Tastefully selected antiques adorn each unique guest room. The restaurant, which encompasses a dining room and a delightful garden terrace, is among the most attractive I’ve ever seen. And a cozy bar sits just off the lobby, the perfect hideaway for an aperitif or nightcap.I’ve found my home away from home in Madrid, and am already anticipating eagerly my next visit.

Service was excellent, reacting to every request including making reservations for restaurants. Location was also great. The room, while beautiful, gets a slightly lower score (and brings the whole score down), as the air conditioning did not work well. In fact, the default when coming into the room for check-in was an extremely warm 26+ degrees Celcius, which was unpleasant. Even putting it down the whole night at the lowest temperature, the room was still warm. The shower was extremely complicated to use, which made no sense, with multiple buttons and handles and the water pressure was very soft.I would not stay there again for those reasons as rooms and comfort are most important to me, which is a pity as the service and location was great.

A perfect jewel-box of a hotel. Small but every service imaginable is available. The restaurant is Michelin-worthy, and the rooms and public spaces are impeccably appointed and maintained. The staff could not possibly be friendlier or more helpful. The cozy bar off of reception is perfect for an after dinner drink.

Hotel Orfila is a beautiful hotel--old school classic charm and luxury. The service--especially Heathcliff--was first class. Rooms are comfortable and clean. We have stayed there twice and would return again.

This is an excellent hotel with flawless service. I give it an overall score of 4.8.The service is really flawless. From the bell boy, the door man, all the people working behind the counter, the cleaning ladies, and those working in the restaurant, and I think I probably encountered a dozen or so of these employees during my one-night stay, I report that the service was 11 out of 10.The hotel lobby is beautiful: classic and very nice. The rooms are nice but not perfect. There was some noises from the water pipe that kept me awake at night but otherwise the room was flawless.I had planned to go out to try a Spanish restaurant nearby but because I was a bit tired, I asked if there was a restaurant in the hotel only to be pleasantly surprised that the hotel restaurant has two Michelin stars! So I stayed and tried out the restaurant in the hotel. It was a great experience: the food, wine, and the service were all really great. Even the prices are, I thought, quite reasonable.I highly recommend this hotel, and commend a great job the hotel management has done in ensuring great service all around and in keeping the hotel in a good shape. The restaurant just adds to the experience.Oh, I forgot to mention that the location is also great: almost all of my meetings were within a 10-minute walking distance or at most a 10-minute cab ride.

Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay for the first night of our honeymoon. The staff were incredibly accommodating even though we showed up hours in advance of check in. Everyone was so kind and the hotel was beautiful in every way. Can’t wait to go back next time we find ourselves in Madrid!! Thank you all!

5 star all the way. Great home base location to explore Madrid. The service was excellent at every level. The interior feels like a museum and the rooms were spacious and luxurious. We loved every minute of our stay and would stay here again.

It is almost one of the best hotels I have stayed in. First of all, the geographical environment is superior, and it is within walking distance from the city center. The interior environment of the hotel is very comfortable. Although it is not big, it is very exquisite. It is said that this hotel was the residence of a former nobleman. It can be seen that many of the furnishings should be collected. More importantly, the staff here are very professional, in addition to helping us book a taxi, they also helped us book several excellent restaurants, and all their recommendations were perfect! It was a very pleasant stay experience, and I strongly recommend it to everyone. This trip to Madrid left a very pleasant impression on me.
