Cute little hotel on the water in Chania. Most of the staff were very nice and helpful. It doesn’t measure up to a normal 5 star hotel but many of those things are due to the old building.Pros- located right on the water- delicious breakfast and they will make you omelets and eggs at request- beautiful and spacious roomsCons- The AC doesn’t work well…so that was a struggle to sleep well- if noise from the street and partying bothers you beware- you have to lug your suitcases a 5-10 minute walk when you arrive and depart. The main entrance doesn’t have an elevator, you have to carry suitcases up one flight of stairs to get to itOverall it was a good but not great hotel for us.

We had a beautiful deluxe room looking over harbor. Location in Old Town is great for walking everywhere. Cristina in reception was so helpful in answering all questions and great recommendations. Eve at breakfast prepared anything we wanted. The staff is excellent. Only problem for some people is the walk from the cabs on the cobblestone, but we had no problem. We highly recommended this hotel.

Such an amazing hotel. The staff is really really wonderful. They go above and beyond. They pack you breakfast if you don't make it in time and the breakfast is really great! They also cook you eggs or pancakes specially if you want. Special shoutout to Kristina. She called the airport to track our lost suitcase and called to help us even AFTER we checked out. Best receptionist I've ever encountered. The rooms are so comfy. Hotel is in an amazing location right on the water in old Town, yet the beds are amazing and no light or sound comes in once you close the windows so we slept like babies. 10/10 recommend

Nice boutique hotel, very well located. Can be a bit noisy in the evening due to clubs around the area however it didn’t really bother us

We stayed at Scala de Faro for 4 nights during our trip to Crete. What a gem! I'm so happy I found it. The location is absolutely perfect, right at the Harbor, in the cutest little street. Rooms were impeccable, clean and just the right size with very comfortable bed. The breakfasts (a delicious buffet) are served on the second floor with views on the Harbor. Freshly pressed orange juice every morning! All members of the staff is wonderful, the owner himself brought our luggage up to our room on the second floor the night we checked in (sorry, i know it was heavy!). The morning we checked out, we had to leave very early before sunrise. Because we would leave before breakfast was served, they had packed us a breakfast to bring with us, what a sweet attention!!! I'm so happy that we stayed there and I highly recommend!!
