In July of 2024, we stayed for 4 nights at this Relais Chateaux property. Beautifully maintained surroundings and landscape. Relatively small property offering privacy with the bungalows set throughout the property. Buildings themselves are designed to blend with nature and appear as been there for quite some time. Housekeeping is fairly good, though the same cannot be said about the maintenance. Our room, which is one of the newer ones, had a malfunctioning lock which was fixed relatively quick, though not being able to enter our room after dinner late in the evening was not very pleasant. The leaking shower handle was never fixed, even though we brought it to the staff’s attention on several occasions. The villa we stayed in offered gorgeous sea view and had a small splash pool, a welcome respite at the end of the day and also a good way to start one’s morning. We also got the opportunity to use the spa services and unfortunately came away rather unimpressed with the quality of massages, both for myself and my spouse. It definitely could use improvement in all areas: poor technique, no offer of water to drink before or after, the treatment rooms are adjacent and open at the top thus allowing sound from nearby room. Breakfast buffet is limited in healthy selections, though has a wonderful array of deserts and fresh juices. I would like to see other choices for protein other than processed meats: boiled eggs, smoked salmon. Also, additional selections in fresh vegetables would be very welcomed.Restaurant dinner service is ok. Staff, for the most part, was very pleasant and accommodating, though efficiency in service is lacking. Every evening when we would come for dinner, the hotel receptionist would lead us to the waiting area and then no one from the restaurant would come to seat us. I would usually wait for 5 to 10 minutes and start pacing around to get someone’s attention, on some days it worked and on some days my wife would simply march into the restaurant and request to be seated. Again, not a big deal, but for a R&C property it is a somewhat irksome experience. We mostly dined at the Osteria and found the menu, though limited in choices, rather enjoyable. The chef does like to put way too much salt into almost every dish, though we were told that is a Sardinian tradition. However, given that most of the guests are not local, perhaps the overindulgence with salt can be reconsidered by the chef. Overall, Osteria was a lovely experience though management’s decision to seat the guests on the roof terrace on windy days perhaps can be reconsidered. It does get quite chilly in the evening, even in June.In summary, I would say that this is a lovely place to spend a few days and we would not hesitate to return nor would we hesitate to recommend it.

Our stay at Petra Segreta was beyond all expectations: starting from a well-kept location up to a trained, helpful and friendly staff. The surprise dedicated to us for the birthday of one of our guests was very welcome. Beautiful rooms surrounded by nature but with all the comforts: we felt pampered. The restaurant offers very refined and quality dishes. It was a beautiful stay, we will definitely be back.

This is a very tricky place to get to.Small roads which just about fit two cars but sometimes not. So be careful and drive slowly. You approach a sliding gate which makes the hotel mysterious and protected.Push the button and you’re in!Overall great views, great staff, very welcoming and as the WiFi doesn’t stretch to all locations, a good device detox.

Beautiful design. Attentive and professional service. Food to die for and a price to match it all. This was a special two day treat for us for our honeymoon and we loved it. It’s so peaceful and quiet. The garden - an inspiration. The food was scrumptious. Both breakfast which was included in the room and lunch (which wasn’t) were delicious. The pool is small but was just right for us. The gym even smaller but also did the trick. The resort is very close to the local town of San Pantaleo with lots of restaurants, bars and a ‘night market’. Personally, I wouldn’t have liked to be staying here without a car as the options can become limiting after a day or two with only set tasting menus available in all restaurants in the evening. We found other guests of the resort to be great company, too which was a plus.
