Riad Dar One: a stylish oasis in the heart of the Marrakech Medina

Regardless of the moment you indulge in, you can be sure it will be a luxurious serenity. Muted colors of burnt orange, sapphire, and moss green fill the space, interspersed with soft textures of brushed gold and grey. The entire place hums with gentle elegance, from the beautiful interior courtyard with its exquisite Moorish ironwork and tiles to the cozy indoor lounge where a fire dances in the grate on colder evenings.

On the rooftop, you can luxuriate in the jacuzzi, letting your eyes wander over the rooftops of the old town as dusk eases into the evening. With six opulent rooms, a table d’hôte serving innovative local food, and an enviable location in the center of old Marrakech, the Riad Dar One is waiting to provide you with infinite moments of unparalleled comfort and tranquillity.

This extraordinary hidden paradise is a calm sanctuary of the magical madness of Marrakesh. Superbly located close to a road (easy drop off - not always the case in Marrakesh), we followed a small warren of lanes to find its hidden entrance. This adds to its immense charm. Once inside, we were met with exquisite contemporary design, both in the public areas (courtyard, salon and rooftop), and each individual ensuite bedroom. But the highlight of the stay was the warm, understated service offered by Hakim and Abdelhak, and their colleagues. Unobtrusive, but always there at just the right moment. Full of knowledge and helpful tips. The visit was a joy, and I fully recommend it.

Cozy and nice place with very few rooms, so it’s intimate and quiet. Anticipated a typical mediocre buffet but they actually had a great served breakfast. It’s quite well located and near the centre which was convenient. The staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place!

We had a fantastic stay at Riad One, an oasis of peace and tranquility in the bustling heart of Marrakech. The property has been recently renovated and features an elegant and refined design, with a touch of modernity. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and have all the necessary amenities.Abdul and his entire team were very kind and always willing to meet our every request. They also organized a delicious Moroccan dinner on arrival with an excellent value for money. The breakfast was also delicious. The rooftop is a perfect place to relax. The sunbeds are comfortable and well-positioned to enjoy the sun or the fresh breeze. The location of the riad is excellent, just a few steps from the Bahia Palace and all the tourist attractions in the Medina. In conclusion, a stay at Riad One is an unforgettable experience that will allow you to experience the best of Marrakech.Strengths:Kindness of the staffBeauty of the renovated propertyThe pleasant rooftop with sunbedsTranquility like an oasis in the chaos of the MedinaProximity to the Bahia Palace and all the tourist attractions in the MedinaExcellent dinner on request

This place is truly a home away from home. I never leave hotel reviews but I was so moved by the staff here- Abdel and Hassan go above and beyond. I stayed at this Riad when the earthquake happened, which was extremely traumatizing but Abdel immediately came to rescue us and the other guests. It was his night off and he ran all the way from his home in to the destruction immediately to gather us all and give us water and whatever else we needed. He was in constant communication with us even after we left. He truly cares about his guests to a degree I’ve never experienced before. On top of this, the hotel is magnificent, the rooms are gorgeous and chic, and the food is delicious. I will be recommending this place to every person I know forever.

Super comfy, great location - walking distance from the Medina, Jemaa el-Fnaa, the famous gardens, Badia Palace, the Saadia Tombs and Bahia. Excellent staff. Really comfy rooms. Extremely tranquil interiors.Though shame the tub was not working although there is a dipping pool in the courtyard.Service is top-notch. Big shout-out to Abdel and his team.
We had the BEST stay at Dar One! It’s ideally located next to Bahia Palace, a tourist attraction, and a 15 minute walk to the main market square. I was with my partner and six year old son, and the staff were so friendly! We weren’t sure how child friendly the hotel would be, but it worked really well for us! Our room was on the rooftop, surprisingly with its own private terrace on top. And from there was an incredible view of the city! Although the main rooftop is a shared space, it was often empty. After my son went to bed we could be just outside our room in the rooftop lounge area, rather than stuck in the room. The Riad only has a handful of other rooms, so it feels very relaxed and quiet. The food was delicious, the lamb tagine especially!
