Riad Karmela Princesse: a Luxury Riad steps away from Spice Square in Marrakech.

As you stroll through Riad Karmela Princesse’s corridors, cool patterned tiles, Mashrabiya latticework, mirrors, and white wrought iron balustrades guide the way, leading you to individually styled themed rooms and suites that fuse time-honored craftsmanship with modern amenities. You can relax after a day of sightseeing with a massage or hammam, take a dip in the hotel swimming pool, partake in a yoga session or cookery course, or relax in the Andalusian-style gardens and patios peppered with lush greenery.

Every detail in Riad Karmela Princesse is planned to ensure your experience is one to remember. From à la carte breakfasts to Moroccan and International dishes freshly prepared with organic produce from local markets or homemade products. But it’s the little touches that get you. The poetry verse left daily on your pillow, gazelle horn pastry treats offered daily, and terraces that allow you to admire the sun as it sets over ochre-colored ramparts.

ABSOLUTLY AMAZING. Cant recommend this Riad highly enough. We booked our transfer through the Riad and we were greeted at the airport, finding our driver easily. Cars cant get to the front doors of the Riads, our driver walked us to our Riad and on our departure the staff of the Riad, took us to our waiting Taxi, all very simple and easy to do.The Riad is decorated in typical Moroccan style, with so much attention to detail, it truly was a very special oasis of calm and was very special. There is a large terrace on the roof with lots of seating and covered areas too. There is a small plunge pool which wasn't running when we were there, which was a shame, but to be fair we didn't inquire why, as we were too busy, to really use it. Several lounge areas to rest in. We always felt we were the only ones there. We had a room upstairs with its own private terrace which was wonderful. The room was huge and consisted of two large bedrooms, and hall/ lounge, bathroom and inner hall, as well as a large secluded terrace. Bottled water was left in the room every day. There was a large choice at breakfast to chose from, pastries, fresh fruit, cereals, teas, coffee hot chocolate, fresh juices, Cheeses, cold meats, variety of breads, and condiments.Dinner was a choice of two menus and we were offered to have vegetarian dishes cooked, that weren't on the menu. Food was piping hot and delicious.Staff can not do enough to help you and make your stay perfect for you, they were extremely attentive. There are 4 free roaming tortoise to keep an eye out for, very sweet. The only negative is, we could of done with another small bin in our room we only had one in the bathroom. But really it was perfect. It really is an amazing Riad and right in the middle of all that is happening in the Medina and easy to get to everywhere.Thank you Riad Karmela

Had one of the best experiences at Riad Karmela which only made us love Marrakech even more! Every single person we came across was absolutely wonderful, respectful and helpful. They were so kind to provide anything we requested during our stay.Upon arriving, the area looked really sketchy but the place is beautiful on the inside and the location is right in the heart of the Old city with so much shopping/attractions around. I absolutely recommend that you reserve the car from and to the airport/train station since taking a regular cab will not drop you off close. Breakfast is included and has a good mix plus if you request something, they'll make for you.I cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you so much to all the wonderful people we came across and had the pleasure of interacting with!

Lovely Riad in the centre of the Medina but away from the noise. Rooms were quirky but had what you needed, as not spending time there. Some rooms were near the restaurant which I expect could have been noisy, ours was in a terrace with just our room on the ground floor which was lovely. We had breakfast every morning choice was great. The Riad is central to the Medina, main squares etc and we found it easy to get around with google maps when needed.Staff were helpful with maps, changing currency and advice about trips. We booked transport through the Riad which was great so door to door support. Due to the narrow streets cars can only get so far so worth booking to ensure you find the Riad and not expensive. There is a roof top terrace with lots of space where we were able to see around and watch the sunset. We had a great stay and would recommend it to others.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this exquisite hotel, and it truly exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in a charming and romantic atmosphere, especially during dinner time when the ambiance was simply magical. The Moroccan cuisine served was nothing short of delicious, tantalizing our taste buds with each bite. The rooms were impeccably clean and boasted breathtaking views, creating a serene and tranquil environment. We were particularly enamored by the private garden, where we could unwind and soak in the beauty of our surroundings in utter privacy. However, what truly set this hotel apart was its exceptional staff, notably Mohammad, who went above and beyond to ensure our every need was met, especially during our memorable dinners. His attentiveness and warmth made our experience truly unforgettable. In conclusion, if you're seeking a perfect blend of romance, culinary delight, impeccable cleanliness, and outstanding service, look no further than this remarkable hotel. We can't wait to return and create more cherished memories.

Service was great, the staff were all very helpful. Got a lovely meal even though we arrived after 21:00, and listened to the last bit of a band playing. Location was great to get to everything. Difficult to find but they've got connections to the taxi services so will send someone out to meet you and show you the way. Stayed in the Princess side and the room was clean and spacious.Lots of tours and experiences offered including an in house Hammam.

This Riad is totally amazing. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Mohammad and Amine were so attentive and such fun to chat with. The hotel arranged airport transfers ( group of 7) and excursions to Essaouira and Casablanca for sightseeing. The Riad is in a great location with lots of small shops and bakeries close by and a short walk to the main square. A nice quiet place to sit in the common areas and the rooftop with a glass of wine and a snack tops of a fabulous stay.Food served is also very good. Would definitely stay here again. 🇨🇦

This is one of my favourite riads in the medina. Many beautiful rooms, friendly service, and a good rooftop restaurant (live music in the weekends). There is a rooftop pool/jacuzzi, and they serve wine and beer if desired. The location is central and easy to find, and it feels safe! Good value. Recommended.

This is a fantastic place to stay if you visit Marrakech. We stayed in a superior double room which was spacious and very comfortable, the whole place is designed to both look great and be very welcoming to guests. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly , the owner is high profile, setting high standards for his team.Breakfast is served on a beautiful roof terrace, it is well presented and plentiful. We had a late flight when leaving and the team immediately made our room available for a late checkout.

Focus on sustainability

Figs

Like the fig tree roots, the property is constantly addressing many sustainable tourism areas and excelling in most fields.

  • Riad Kermala Princesse takes the best of 2 worlds: the traditional building and modern restoration. With the preserved traditional architecture, the boutique hotel has thick walls and small windows. The combination naturally isolates the interior of the boutique hotel from the desert climate variations.
  • The renovation focused on using mainly local material and added insulation, a green roof and energy-saving systems to optimise the energy consumption inside the Riad.
  • Chemicals and pesticides have been totally replaced with eco-friendly options
  • All the food offering is made from local produce, bought at the neighbouring market (except the fish – directly brought from Agadir)
  • The Riad is supporting the small local businesses through partnerships to offer eco-friendly and sustainable activities to the guests such as bike tours, trekking, walks.
