Get off the ‘beaten path’ and experience the Greek hospitality in an idyllic mountain landscape.

Papaevangelou hotel is enviably placed underneath the mountains, just at the entrance of Papigo Village, with stunning views on the Astraka towers. The site was carefully selected by Geroge and Markella, the hotel’s owners, more than 25 years ago, when they decided to leave Athens and fulfil their dream of running a guest house in the family’s region.

Blending naturally into the landscape, the stone mansion combines rustic traditional charm with modern sleekness. Light-filled spaces, wooden floors, built-in fireplaces and touches of colours here and there, give this mansion a unique homey aura. In every space, you will see the mountain slopes, as you gaze out the windows, sit at the cobbled terrace or walk in the garden beautifully maintained with grapevines and flowering plants.

Have a drink at the terrace or the Lounge by the fireplace in winter. Cocoon in your room while admiring the stunning view and wake up in the following morning to a delightful homemade breakfast.
Your stay at Papaevangelou hotel will be unique thanks to the genuine hospitality of George, Markella and their team. They are enthusiastic to welcome every guest and provide them with a detailed recommendation for their stay. Greek hospitality in action.
