Locanda Al Colle: House of an art lover in the heart of Tuscany
Locanda al Colle is perched above the sweeping Tuscan landscape. An atmosphere of calm serenity reigns in this former farmhouse dating back to 1715. The Locanda al Colle seamlessly melds the comforts of a luxury hotel with the intimacy and charm of a traditional rustic inn.
Typical hotel features such as a reception desk, room service, or televisions are noticeably absent. You are instead invited to contemplate the artworks or the sweeping coastal views. Take a look at the private collection of Modern Art adorning the walls, and admire the careful nooks of art dispersed throughout the property. You may prefer drifting dreamily from the saltwater pool to the shady, lavender-scented terrace. The on-site chef invites you to eat family-style meals on the long candlelit dinner table.
Watching the sunset from one of the rooms’ private terraces is truly something to behold and perfectly punctuated by a glass of cold Prosecco.

The rooms all have a distinct character, each overlooking the breath-taking surrounding landscape, with some boasting magnificent panoramic terraces.

Resplendent in shades of brushed gold, the bed lies under the white-washed vaulted ceiling beams. Relax and unwind in the soft grey bathroom with its powerful rainfall shower. The perfect nest for a couple or individual traveller.
Cipresso, Colletto, Noce & Olivo
Whether relaxing with a book on the vintage armchairs in Cipresso or delighting in the stylish grey and red colour palette of Colletto, you’ll easily find a moment of peace looking onto the lush green of the hilltops or the rugged coastline. Noce sets the scene for nights of deep sleep in soothing tones of lilac and ochre and Olivo is warm and welcoming in shades of orange and crimson.
Giardino
The Giardino’s aesthetic contrasts a stone palette in the bedroom with crushed burgundy in the bathroom. Open the doors to the outdoor terrace, comprising a comfortable seating area and glowing in the lush greenery of the garden. At night, fall asleep in the sumptuous bed with silky-soft sheets.
Aurora, Collina & Mare
In the Aurora and the Collina, the terraces comprise an outdoor fireplace and a daybed while in the Mare room, French doors give on to a patio with elegant wrought-iron furniture. In the Collina ensuite, gaze at the stars from the skylight placed above the tub and in Aurora, let shades of pearl soothe your soul as you unwind. Meanwhile, the Mare ensuite glows in the light filtering through the trees visible from the windows.
Alba
Peeling back the light curtains of the four-poster, you can hear the morning breeze dance through the leaves of the bougainvillaea outside. The Alba suite is romantic in tones of velvety cream. A sophisticated mahogany table and chairs take pride in place in the centre of the suite and outside, the shady private terrace leads on to the Locanda’s garden.
Colle & Tramonto
Careful distribution of space lends a tranquil atmosphere to the suites. Colle features a four-poster draped in cream sheets, a lounge area with fireplace, two ensuites and an outdoor seating area, over which pergola arches elegantly. In Tramonto, the walls and furnishings are highlighted by shades of sage and olive featuring an indoor living room and a light, bright private terrace, this suite is a comfortable and stylish sanctuary.
