Noma Hotel Athens is a cozy little nest in the heart of the city

Located in Monastiraki, Noma hotel Athens is an ideal base to enjoy the best of the city. Nestled in a historic building renovated to high modern standards, it resembles a speakeasy, as you can easily miss the slim stone entrance, flanked as it is by trendy bars and restaurants on Athinaidos Street. Inside Noma Hotel Athens, industrial and neoclassical design features mingle. Handcrafted hardwood floors and exposed wooden beams contrast nicely with the cool metallic elements and exposed brick.

Take the industrial design elevator to access a surprisingly quiet room. You didn’t expect soundproofed rooms in an 1843 building, did you? The luckiest of us can enjoy a moment of relaxation in the suite’s jacuzzi, overlooking the magical Acropolis. As the morning comes, breakfast is served in the charming cafe next door. If you have any questions, Kostas and his team are always here to help you with anything you need, or even just for a chat!

140 euros pers night for a room with:Holes in the sheets, door handles that were stuck in place with nails, dirty toilet fans, hair from previous tenants at the bathroom floor, dirty shower area and broken wooden parts all over the room. The best part is that I was given a room with a broken WC door handle and a locked WC door! How on earth the cleaning personnel didn't notice the problem and marked the room as ready? One of the worst options at Athens center, definitely does not deserve the price.Enjoy the photos

We got to the hotel in the late afternoon hours. We got a twin bed room that wasn't Mach with our reservation in booking.com for a double room with 1 full bed. They didn't change the room. They didn't care for customer service! The room was dirty from dust and mold in the shower. The towels were old! Like they are from the last time I visited with my brother before 4 years.I remember the place as good but maybe because it was new back then.A lot of people talk about the noise from the tavern and the street downstairs, so if you get room 102, you will be in a big problem, party and music until 3 am and noise from early morning!Luckily, we had only 1 night. If we had more, we would just take our things and move for another place!Be careful!

Excellent hotel, the building itself is a unique amalgamation of 2 or 3 existing structures, sympathetically remodelled for hotel use, the rooms are spacious and modern with everything you'd expect, the staff both in the hotel, and restaurant for breakfast, were fantastic, welcoming and helpful to a fault, I couldn't have asked for better. The location is great for central Athens and even though very busy outside, the room was a quiet haven, breakfast was huge and beautifully presented. All in all for exploring Athens or just a night I can happily recommend this hotel.

The hotel is very well located, the staff is nice and they offered us a breakfast box because we left at 6:00amThe only part that I would not recommend is that there is a bar next door and you could hear everything. Music was very loud and We could not sleep until 3:00 am that was when the music stopped

You may be surprised by my general rating of two-stars, while I gave Location 5, Service 5, and rooms 3. What's the most basic thing you need from a hotel? Sleep, good quality sleep. The hotel is right next to a super loud bar, the funny this is I didn't even stayed on a weekend, it was a one night stay on Wednesday. Thank god I had earplugs, and even with them sleeping was hard. The rooms are absolutely beautiful, but many things seemed broken. Some curtains, the toilet seat, so it could be maintained better. Great location and very friendly staff.

Stay away from this hotel!!! Worst service. They charged me full amount for 3 nights although I canceled my reservation few days before. Canceled for a good reason, cause the fires on the area on that days. But they didn't care and didn't refund me!! I never experienced bad service like this. Just don't make my mistake and stay away from them. I will have to sue them to get my money back.

Absolute horror from reception to the room itself. Reception at night is ran by an unprofessional old man that takes 20 minutes to check us in. Everything is documented on paper and I felt very unsafe that he took the time to examine my credit card details including the security number, then jotting it down on paper. The room:Miserably small room that could barely fit a bird. Never have I ever seen a hotel that provides no blanket nor quilt on bed but have them stuffed in the wardrobe which is to begin with unbearably DIRTY WITH LARGE AREAS OF VISIBLE BROWN STAINS. Only ONE electricity outlet in the bedroom area which makes absolutely no sense for a hotel. Remote controls do not work and you have to unplug the TV for some tranquility. Shower taps are broken and the three different taps mean nothing - you could turn the shower on with one tap but you can’t turn it off with the same tap. Conclusion: Only recommended to anyone that seeks torture in Athens. Thanks for ruining my trip NOMA hotel.

This hotel is situated in a beautifully restored 17 cent. building. Great location on a busy corner with many bars and restaurants around.Rooms are good size. Each is uniquely decorated and very clean. Isolation of the serroundings street sounds could be better.

It's the second time I stayed at this hotel, first time, after it just opened.Location is great, team very friendly and helpful, I like the design of the rooms and public areas...but..It's a shame that just after 3 years being open, you see the first signs of wear, especially in the bathroom, which is still very clean, but the door to the shower doesn't easily open, the shower head is partly clocked up, the paint comes off...But the main issue of my room, inside the building, with no window, but a roof light, was the proximity to the kitchen of the neighbouring burger restaurant and the noise of the sink and smell of burgers, which comes with it.Would I stay again, I probably would, as the location is perfect, everybody is extremely friendly and the hotel has a great stile, but it needs maintenance and noise and smell proofing..

We only came for 1 night before a flight, but I have much to say. What won for me was the location! The location of this hotel is everything!!!Yes, a bit noisy when you open the window but I personally love it. Maybe more suitable for younger people. I love to see cafés and bars when I open the window andreally feel the city vibe. instead of being in a surrounded place. The room was clean, high ceilings, big, love the wood decor, great AC.The shower needs some solution cause the water was everywhere, we asked from the cleaning lady the help us.I would definitely skip breakfast since it’s in next door café and the waitress didn’t even mind us. We needed to get up a few time inside the bar and ask for attention (there was only one table), the breakfast was too simple and not worth it (even though the egg was delicious)Over all great stay, I would come back cause I think it’s value for money, especially when you only come to shows and sleep cause in Athens you always outside anyway.Thank you NOMA hotel

Christina the concierge was amazing. She helped us book a day trip to Delphi and advised us how to get around the city which we weren’t familiar with. She was also super friendly. The location of the hotel is great, right next to the subway.
